Outtake - Beauty Shot: Bronx |
I just shot this very sweet Banana Republic Advertorial which was published in OK! Magazine today and am really pleased with how it turned out!
It was very important to me to achieve a look which was "very Banana Republic" - a brand known for casual luxury and timeless style expressing comfort and confidence. Hair & Makeup are a little bit fun - casual - confident - with super luxurious flawless healthy looking skin and a timeless (yet so on-trend) red lip.
MAKEUP NOTES
I used RCMA foundation without a primer - my first time ever. I was a little nervous about not priming the skin with my fave Mac Prep + Prime, but Bronx is allergic to some of the ingredients and hence any primer was a no-go! Being the excellent model she is, she had prepped her skin with plenty of moisturizer prior to the shoot and the foundation went on like a dream.
Using another one of my favorites I applied Mac eyeshadow in "dazzlelight" under the arch of the brow, in the inner corner of the eye, on top of the lid as well as down the centre of the nose and on the lip's cupid's bow to set highlights giving the face dimension and depth.
Adding Benefit Eyebright to the inner lashline (I am still waiting for that flesh-toned eyeliner from Mac to arrive in Dubai) and adding depth to the crease with a light brown Bobbi Brown eyeshadow, the eyes were finished off with lots of single eyelashes.
Those stunning red lips were created using Mac's "Lady Danger".
Bronx is in town!
