Japanese Men's Vogue

Is anybody really surprised that the cover photo, shot by Hedi Slimane, looks like this:


I'm a little upset that the cover model seems to be a white guy, carrying a samurai sword. Why not just get a Japanese model? It's not like there aren't any.
