Morten Harket lead singer of the 80's band A-Ha is a god with the voice of an angel. I found this acoustic version of the once synth pop song "Take on Me",it brought tears to my eyes. When their original video came out I was just a girl around 7 and this video was romance to me. It still is...I won't let romance die no matter what let downs life throws my way! After all the girl in the video went on to be Morten's first serious girlfriend which I'm sure lead to the firs heart break. Time has a way of touching our hearts and taking away whats precious only to give us new beautiful moments.

My Weekend Frop

Outfit: Subscribo score from Frop. I found out about this store from DSN. You have to take a look at the Frop Blog, the clothes are super cute & affordable. Prices start at $65-250 for fat packs of clothing. There's even a couple things for guys upstairs & gestures are $40. Next to the clothing store is a furniture store too; prices start at about $39 -$400. Victorian Robotics?

You know, I'm not the biggest fan of steampunk, but I really do love these pictures I found in the New York Times.




Then again, maybe I like steampunk more than I thought. The Prestige (not really steampunk, but the period is right) and The Extraordinary League of Gentlemen are two favorites of mine.

(Also, I want this car. Yow.)

When it comes to decor, though, my tastes run to the opposite of this subculture: I prefer old shapes made in newer materials (like the Ghost chair by Philippe Starck), as opposed to new things made to look old.
