First official day of HOLIDAYS

I am officially, absolutely and totally on HOLIDAAAAAAYS until the 27th of September!!!!
So this is our first breakfast at home (a bit hungover from yesterday's wedding) , still with a few packing to do but ready to leave and enjoy 15 days in Montreal, Upstate NY and Manhattan.
You cant see it but Im smiling.
Ear to ear.
PS: I have programmed a few posts but I wont be able to write you guys until I come back :(
so miss me a bit ok?

Estamos oficial y totalmente de VACACIONEEEEEEES hasta el 27 de setiembre!!!
Así que este es nuestro primer desayuno en casa (aun un poco resacosos de la boda de ayer) aun con algunas cosas por meter en la maleta pero listos para irnos y disfrutar 15 días en Montreal, Upstate NY y Manhattan.
Y no podéis verlo pero estoy sonriendo de oreja a oreja.
PD: he programado bastantes posts pero a los habituales no voy a poder escribiros hasta que vuelva :( así que echadme un poco de menos vale?

My friend Nat just came back from her holidays and shared with me the hotel she's been staying in. Its called Comptoir Saint Hilare and its close to Nimes and Montpellier in case you happen to be around. I just wanted to share a few pictures with you guys cause the place looks absolutely amazing. Doesnt it?



Mi amiga Nat acaba de volver de sus vacaciones y me ha estado contando cosillas del hotel en el que se alojó del sur de Francia. Se llama Comptoir Saint Hilaire y está cerca de NImes y Montpellier por si por casualidad estáis cerca o tenéis planeado ir por la zona. Solo quería compartir con vosotros unas cuantas fotos porque la verdad es que tiene una pinta increíble, no os parece?

Plans

We have two straight days of holidays.

Two. Days.

Two. Whole. Days.

It might sound like a normal weekend for most of you guys, but for us, its such a luxury!

So plans? Going over my summer wardrobe, making some pics, putting together my writing corner, some exercise with Mr Octopus, booking our Bilbao trip, reading some fashion magazines and starting a new book. Mini holidays coming right up!

Puede sonar como un finde normal para la mayoría de vosotros, pero para nosotros es un lujo! Así que, nuestros planes? Poner en orden la ropa de verano, hacer algunas fotos, hacer mi pequeño rincón de escritura, un poco de ejercicio, reservar nuestro viaje a Bilbao, leer unas cuantas revistas y empezar un nuevo libro. Unas mini vacaciones que empiezan ya!

Books and Roses: World Book Day

For those of you who dont know today its April the 23rd, which means its SANT JORDI in Catalunya (and the World Book day = did you know it was the day Shakespeare and Cerbantes died?). Being our national holiday, streets are filled up with books and roses and there isnt a better day to visit the city. Its my fave day of the year to live here.
PS: Im asking this book to my Octopus.

Para aquellos que no lo sepáis, hoy es 23 de abril y la festividad de Sant jordi en Cataluña (y por extensión el día internacional del libro = sabíais que tambien es el día del año en que fallecieron Shakespeare y Cervantes?). Siendo nuestra fiesta nacional, las calles están llenas de libros y rosas y no hay mejor día para pasear por las calles barcelonesas que hoy.
Es mi día favorito para vivir aquí.
PD: voy a pedirle este libro a mi pulpo, a ver si pica.
