Croissants arrive in a Vespa

OK, we are pretty much settled at my parents' place (which is about 15 minutes from our place).
Its a wonderful day and my hubbie did the ultimate Im-a-perfect-husband kind of thing: he woke up early, took our little vespa for a ride and went to our usual Sunday bakery to get our chocolate croissants. Cant you see now why I married the guy?

Ya estamos más o menos instalados en casa de mis padres.
Hace un día genial y mi pulpo acaba de tener el detalle perfecto: se ha levantado temprano, ha cogido la Vespa y se ha acercado hasta la pastelería donde los domingos compramos para traerme un par de croissanes de chocolate. Podéis entender ahora por qué me casé con este hombre?

Girl time

There are times when sharing a dinner with a couple of friends, talking to a girlfriend who has known you all you life or receiving an email from Italy, makes you look at life, love and yourself in a completely different light. It is indeed enlightening when you see yourself through the eyes of somebody who loves you and cares about you. And it forces you to think, and if you are lucky and strong enough, to act, so you can become a better version of yourself.

So, to the women in my life who cook wonderful dinners and smile from accross the table, who make me laugh, who give me a ride with a BMW while smiling all the way or to those who spend 30 minutes of their morning writing me an "open talking" email.
I love you.

Hay veces en que una cena de amigas, una conversación con alguien que te ha conocido toda su vida o un email de Italia te hacen ver la vida, el amor y a una misma con una luz completamente distinta. Es realmente revelador cuando te ves a través de los ojos de alguien que te quiere y que se preocupa por ti. Y te fuerza a pensar (y si tienes suerte a actuar en consecuencia) para que puedas convertirte en una versión mejorada de ti misma.

Así que a las mujeres de mi vida que me cocinan cenas maravillosas y me sonríen mientras beben una copa de vino, a las que me hacen reir, las que me llevan en una BMW sin perder la alegría durante el trayecto o a las que se pasan 30 minutos de su mañana escribiéndome un email poniendo toda la carne en el asador.

Our American friends (which to us are like family) are visiting the city in another home exchange and we took off for the weekend to be with them. Cant even begin to tell you how excited we are to see them.

Estamos en Bilbao!!!! Nuestra pareja de americanos preferidos (que son como de la familia) estan de visita en la ciudad en otro intercambio de casa así que hemos aprovechado para cogernos el finde fiesta y estar con ellos. Ni os imagináis lo emocionados que estamos de verlos. Vamos a comer, beber, reir y disfrutar a tope. Pintxos a mi!!!!

Im telling you, God made Sundays so Mr Octopus and I can say again and again, how wonderful life is. There's no one happier than us on Sunday mornings.

En serio, si hay un Dios, seguro que hizo los domingos para que el Sr Pulpo y yo repitamos una y otra vez, lo maravillosa que es la vida. No hay nadie más feliz que nosotros los domingos por la mañana.
