A Li'l Bit Country

HOC Industries released these cute Country Wedges. They're a great shoe for wearing with casual dresses, shorts or pants. These wedges come with a HUD to change the color of the shoe and metals. There are six shoe colors and four metal colors. At 175L, this is an amazing deal for what is basically six pairs of shoes!

Mama Mia

I fell in love with the Mia Wedge when it was released in April at SLink. It can be worn with pants, shorts, skirts, dresses... it's such a versatile shoe. For those apprehensive about prim toed shoes, this is a great introductory shoe as the only parts tinted by the HUD are the toes. In addition to allowing for a perfect match, the HUD also allows for resizing, nail colors and changing the metal and leather strap colors. To go with the natural leather on the shoes, I chose to wear the Mexican Peasant Dress from Tres Blah. The leather on the dress' belt matches the Mia's tan leather almost perfectly. Brightly colored bangles from Zaara and windblown hair from 69 complete the look.

StyleCard: EarthStones Darya Wedge

Summer is a great time for no fuss, no muss casual looks. It was such a treat to be able to kick off my prim feet and slide my avatar tootsies into these amazingly detailed Darya Wedges from EarthStones. Abraxxa Anatine delivers more of her recognizable earthy delights, with the added benefit of two metal options, an assortment of specially selected semi-precious stone accents to match the rich colored leather. Once again a beautiful job done on the foot shape to create a more natural looking foot without the need for prim toes.

To complete my lazy day look, I threw on a pair of damaged jeans by EmJay which I shortened to capri length, an olive tank from Maitreya and the absolutely fantastic EarthStones Leather & Laced Belt. Other touches like the Samsara Hair from ::69:: (with custom tinted hat) and an UZURI Necklace make this an outfit I had to 'folder' so I can wear it again and again.

Crochet

So if you checked out the premier edition of SXY2ND you would have saw some pretty sexy swimsuits. In a promotion in conjunction with the premier, Magnolia Mayo of Crochet put out a freebie SUPER cute bikini. Now before I get ahead of myself, the outfit in the picture is *not* that bikini, but it is from Crochet. When I went over to grab my free sexy swimwear I noticed the cute Anabela shoes and then the also quite as cute sunshine summer bikini top and shorts. The best is that the shoes were only 80L, as was the outfit!  Now it was kinda a shock to my system looking at my feet in these shoes. Mostly, because I've become spoiled wearing sculptie feet and conveniently forgot about those avatar feet hidden under my smoke and mirrors, but these are a cute pair of shoes that works perfect for summer. Fun, Fab & Free

When I log on I am often blasted with note cards and IMs, and when I logged this afternoon I was hit with one from a store named Pixelfashion that caught my attention with the words 'Free Shoes'. I was previously aware of Pixelfashion and creator Amandine Arai after spotting a great dress on someone at an event, and I was pleased to discover the shop was filled with some extremely sexy Lingerie too. The footwear also caught my eye, some really cute stuff and some scandalously high boots too. But after TPing over to get my hands on the free-ness I was also very attracted to another pair of sky high wedge sandals called Luna. So here is a look at the Luna and the Sally shoes from Pixelfashion, and if you head over to the shop before April 24th these white Sally Sandals are OMG free! Both styles are available in 18 amazing colors, and there are matching belts for every shade available (nice idea). I highly recommend you check out this store if you have never had a chance.

StyleCard: Kitties Lair Fran Wedge

The latest from Kitties Lair are a refreshingly casual wooden soled clog called the Fran Wedge. The Wedge comes in a variety of shades and 3 separate motifs; Plain, Floral and Tribal. The texturing is great with nice added details like the nail heads and rubber bottoms. These are a great looking shoe, and a sure sign that spring is on it's way.

R2 Yummy!

Cruising through some flickr images today, I happened upon the stream of the amazing Dango Jewell, and spotted some fantastic looking sky high wedges on her feet in a few of the shots. As luck would have it, I caught her online and she produced the LM to the R2 store for me very quickly, thank-you again Dango! :)


These Akamai wedge pumps managed to escape my attention until today, but they are well worth the mention because of their exceptional quality, styling and a price that made it impossible for me to resist buying 3 pairs of the approximately 6 variations. My favorite by far is the fuchsia and purple 'Pink' pair. The vivid color was just what I needed to wake me up from these Winter blahs. The outfit, a complete mash-up from existing inventory items, long neglected, started with the skirt from the Church of Luxe 'Fairy Dress' in Pistachio, hand tinted to a bright pink shade. The sweater was a fluke that popped up when I searched for purple, but it's by MG Fashion, and I love its heavy cowl neck, the belt and gloves are Redgrave. Redgrave skin, Mikan Hair and some bangles from Fresh Baked Good & Caroline's add to the look.

Call me a Lya!

More shoes than any girl could ever need, and yet I still get a little thrill whenever I get sent something new to look at. Lyanis Sin has carefully been working on her sculpties, and I know these Sakura shoes have been in the works for a while now. I am happy to report that they are a great looking wedge shoe, and what really sets them apart for me... from others I have seen, are the amazing textures and the subtly realistic shaping of the wedge itself.

Also of note is this amazing Spoiled Dress, from the Enayla Collection at Iris Seale's Punch Drunk that I loved so much color wise I had to wear it with Lyanis' shoes... It certailnly made me feel all happy. Lyanis offers some really beautiful shades in these shoes too, and what really made my jaw drop was the shiny red version of the Sakura, only available in the Lucky Chair at the Lya Mainstore!

My Inner Venus

Well, SL is having it's way with me today, can't seem to log in and get my blog shots done. But I did manage to get one snapshot before crashing last night... and I am wearing these fabulous Venus Wedges from GIANETTI, so I will post the review and share Gianetti's wonderful product shots which I borrowed from her blog here.

I am thrilled to introduce these great sandals, a first 'step' into footwear from Gianetti. Previously she has made some great clothes and accessories, and some of the best prim fingernails I have ever seen. The Venus are a rattan woven wedge with crystal studded straps that just scream sexy beach chic. They come in Gold (worn above), Silver and Black - equipped with bling on/off command. I am really impressed with the styling and creativity here.

Maple Sugarr

Okay, I just couldn't resist that title... because yay! It's Canada Day, and I am one of those Canadian girls! But also, Damen Gorilla made me smile yesterday when he sent me the sassy as all heck Sugarr Wedges. Get it? Maple Sugarr! Ooh, I am too clever sometimes.

These luscious shiny red wedges were a must wear for me today, and they do come in 12 colors... but I was feeling a bit patriotic, so here are the Scarlet and the Snow White. Please be sure and take a trip to Adam n Eve today to take a look at the full colour range. The details are really nice, I love the contrast of the fabric straps and the shiny wedges, cute buckle details too.

Digital Dragon Steps It Up!

This is a post that's been due for a bit now. I have quietly been watching the feeds with keen interest to see the progression of shoe designs emanating from Digital Dragon Designs, by the prolific content creators Zoey Pinkdot and Ninja Petion. They have created quite the mega-mall of everything from poses and gifts, to tattoos and clothing... and tons more. When I caught sight of the Rianna Pump last night I felt it was time to get my hands on some pairs and do a review.

Zoey and Ninja were more than happy to oblige, and I scooped up these four pairs to share with you. All of the styles below come in ranges of 8 colors, some even have the option of more than one type of metal accent available. All these pairs are well constructed, and Digital Dragon offer loads of wedges, slides, platforms and pumps to suit many a taste. Well worth a look.
