SLink Astrid

AstridCollage1

Siddean Munro of SLink has really been treating us with her mesh creations. The latest is the Astrid Boot, a gorgeous ankle boot featuring a high stiletto heel and criss-crossed straps. Astrid is available in 16 beautiful colors/textures, but I recommend springing for the fatpack because it is scripted to allow for mixing and matching all 16 colors. This makes for a ton of combinations that will go with virtually anything!

AstridCollage2

Astrid includes a HUD that allows for resize and color change on the fatpack. These boots are just gorgeous, versatile and a great addition to your SL wardrobe. As mesh, the Astrid Boots require Viewer 3 or another viewer that supports mesh.

Visit SLink to check out Astrid and the rest of the SLink collection.

Standing Tall in SLink

I know you've missed seeing my pretty little toes for a few days, so I am back in the Shaz Platform from SLink, a nice high thong wedge. It comes in great textile options and colors, a few of which are shown here. Cute embellishments like the sunny floral details and even a tribute to Kermit, a fun little frog that clings to the strap, and fabric or woven soles, are great optionals.
I adore the updated SLink HUD and the nail polish options included, you will find that getting a great match is very important, and although the join to the avatar leg is very nicely designed, depending on the leg highlight on the skin you wear, you will likely see a subtle shift in tone. I found the slight difference was not enough to worry about, and certainly from normal viewing distance, barely noticeable. I love the look of these shoes!

Mama Mia

SLink Mia

I fell in love with the Mia Wedge when it was released in April at SLink. It can be worn with pants, shorts, skirts, dresses... it's such a versatile shoe. For those apprehensive about prim toed shoes, this is a great introductory shoe as the only parts tinted by the HUD are the toes. In addition to allowing for a perfect match, the HUD also allows for resizing, nail colors and changing the metal and leather strap colors. To go with the natural leather on the shoes, I chose to wear the Mexican Peasant Dress from Tres Blah. The leather on the dress' belt matches the Mia's tan leather almost perfectly. Brightly colored bangles from Zaara and windblown hair from 69 complete the look.

That First Step Is A Lulu

Well, hullo there sexy! Isn't this the perfect way to start off your week? SLink Lulu Stilettos, the latest from Siddean Munro, offer up a great mix of wooden platform sandal, skinny leather string wrapped foot and a daring metal spike for a heel. The texturing is beautiful and the style is unique, it comes in a variety of sassy shades, and that will make them even harder to resist.

SLink has also introduced an updated HUD, it is great looking and easy to use. I adore the tiny bottles of nail polish and simple save feature. An additional HUD for tinting your nails means the possibilities are literally endless.

I am also sporting the latest releases from Exile Hair, Esme, and from Baiastice a sculpted and sheer dress with added rosette head piece, the Maten Chiffon Dress. A few of the great new bangles from MOOD, and my favorite freckle faced PXL Skin.

Better Late...

So there I was, getting ready for Shoe Fair 2011, and I somehow managed to back-burner a few posts that I had been working on. Here is one of them, long overdue, for the fantastic Ariadne Heels from SLink. Besides the obviously unique shape and texturing, these heels are beautifully made and perfect for inspiring an outfit.

I am also wearing the recently released PXL Gaia Skin, my new 'go to' favorite. I love the sweet lips, soft brows, and overall young looking face. I threw in a few more interesting clothing items and accessories to finish my look, and the hair from bOON, a loose high bun hairpiece completes this almost forgotten post.

SLurls and stuff are in the credits, be sure and look for the SLink Ariadne Heels by Siddean Monroe, I may be late, but these shoes are worth a closer look!

This Is Love.

I believe in love. No matter how many times love chews you up and spits you out, I firmly believe that there is someone out there for everyone... maybe more than one, or in Second Life... at least a clean half dozen in the average SLifespan. So what does one do when they are faced with the possibility of Valentine's Day alone, or lonely, or both? You go back to what you love, and for me that is blogging shoes, and great fashion and beautiful skins. One of my first loves in SL were the Linda skins from PXL, and Mr. Hart Larsson, that talented and very charming fellow has won me over again with the stunning PXL Linda G3. There is something to be said about a man that can make a woman feel beautiful, and my first gift to myself today was this beautiful skin.

I also love rediscovering old favorite stores, and things that have been sitting in my 'to wear' folder for months and months. This past weekend I happened upon a small shop named CentoPallini, it was new to me and I instantly loved the Valentino Hat, which looks to be molded from dark chocolate and is festooned with bows, gems, more chocolate in a heart shaped box, and cupids arrow skewering the whole works. Easy peasy, gift number two for myself is settled upon. I dug the rest of my outfit out of my many folders of clothing, with a beautiful Veschi Jacket, Maitreya Bodysuit and accessories from Donna Flora. But you know me, and my outfit is never complete without something 'on my toes'.

It was really very hard for me to find something newish to blog, as I have been away for a little while and missed some great things, and it seems that there haven't been many new releases this week (I suspect most of my favorites are gearing up for the next Shoe Fair... more on that soon.) So I started TPing around for some inspiration... I found them at SLink, and yes they have been out for a while, but they are completely gorgeous and I never managed to grab a pair before today, gift number three for me, the beautiful Paloma Pointe Ballet Slippers. Now it seems I am ready to dance my way into the next unsuspecting heart, and I didn't have to wear loads of pink or bright red to do it.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone, treat yourself to something special today!

Shoe Fair 2010: SLink

Siddean Munro made sure to offer Shoe Fair visitors some great new releases, and she has already made a big dent in the shoe game with her amazing quality and user friendly HUD system. The SLink Mieke Riding Boots are a nice way to remind us all that fall is soon approaching, these beautifully textured flat boots can add sass or classic casual style to your look of choice.

The Aveela Stilettos are another amazing offering from SLink, it is hard to resist a sexy high heel with so much style. These come in some great colors you wont want to miss checking out the full assortment in person. The final style of the trio is the modern looking Sade Heel, who can deny the architecture of a great shoe, with it's interesting heel cut out and metallic shine. I love the stacked platform sole and dual buckles. These work as well for fetish or high fashion, love them!

More To Love.

There is something very beautiful about a great pair of shoes, and Siddean Munro makes some great shoes. The new SLink Mikaela heels are getting a whole lot of attention, and they deserve all of it, these sexy gem encrusted sandals pack a whole lot into a small package. Like many foot in shoe styles, the Mikaela shoes have a very pretty foot, a great customization hud, nail polish options and metal choices, but with Mikaela you get all that and loads more.

The hosiery in footwear look is definitely 'the' look of the season, and Mikaela has it in spades. Beyond a beautiful bare foot, you also get socks and stockings, and oh yes, you can match them perfectly to anything in your wardrobe using the same color picker as you would use for your skin tone. A separate hud allows you to choose gem colors, from diamonds to rubies and a small rainbow in between, there is even a closed toe version of the shoes. Selecting one pair of the shoes will be a challenge, going for the fatpack might just be an easier option, but even if you can only get a single pair, you will never run out of ways to match them to your outfits.

Visit SLink to get a look at all the colors and options.

The stuff;

Shoes: SLink, Mikaela Shoes, Teal.

Skin: LeLutka, Estelle, Light Makeup 8D (hairbase.)

Hair: Mirai Style, Kibt, Darkbrown.

A Week of Top-Fives: Day Three, Long Boots

My ode to the long boot could last for days. I love them, revere them and have a real problem with restraining myself from buying them whenever I see them, even if I already have a pair that's pretty similar. They're all just so awesome!

I had a hell of a time picking boots out for this post. I wanted to show a lot more, but I limited myself to stiletto-heeled long boots only.

J's is a master when it comes to working the prims, and the texturing is always amazingly well-done. He told me not so long ago that he doesn't like to advertise himself, he only likes to make shoes. So besides his own update group, his only real form of advertisement is his amazing workmanship and killer options, like colour-change menus on the fatpacks, so you only have to have one pair in your inventory, not 12.

When the new incarnation of the Bax Prestige boots came out, I was in heaven, and they were my introductory post on this very blog. The best thing about these boots, besides the gorgeous texturing and amazing sculpty work, is the awesome features. When you buy them, they come boxed. You can unbox them in the store, and then either fit them yourself (because they are designed to fit very tightly to your leg) or have one of the very friendly store staff help you with the cool remote script system. Once you have one pair fitted perfectly to your shape, you can unbox any others you may have purchased and the store will automatically recognize you and ask if you'd like to use the last settings! Once you say yes, your boots will automatically fit to you like a glove. That, and the tonal colour change menu makes every Linden spent well worth it.

SLink's Sydney boots are beautiful works of architectural wonderment. I tried to imagine how I could ever wear these in real life, and I decided I can't. I'd love to, but I'd fall flat on my face. Luckily, my avatar doesn't have the same problem and she can happily prance around in these all day, and dance around all night.

YourSkin & YourShape is a store that's fairly new to me, never having heard of them before hosting them at the shoe fair this year. I can't imagine how I ever lived without them though, because their stock is absolutely amazing. The Big Sur boots come in lots of colours, and they'll go with anything from your favourite pair of jeans (hello Decoy, my ass loves you!) to a cute little dress.

Tesla is a big name in footwear, and there's little reason to wonder why. The Angelina boots were one of those purchases that I absolutely had to make, even though I have other boots that are similar (except for the fun laces detail at the back). Of course they're resizable and you can find a colour and look to suit whatever you're wearing.

Stick with me for heels tomorrow!

BeeBee's a SLinky Goddess

Siddean Munro of SLink gets better and better with every release. Her latest, the BeeBee ankle boots are, in a word, spectacular.

Today, Siddean released a special festive limited edition version of red & green, with a white fur trim and some little jingle bells. I'm not normally a holiday type of girl, but one look at these made me change my mind. Now, I already had the fatpack of these luscious leather cuties, because I hightailed it right over as soon as I got my notice of their existence, but I needed the festive ones too!

I love all of the interesting features of these, like the strap going under the heels and the zipper tab. The suede and the leather textures are amazingly done, and Siddean tells me besides (legitimately) sourcing the actual textures, the entire rest is all hand-done.

Each colour is L$650 each, and if you're like me and prefer to buy fatpacks where possible (it's a sickness, an awesome sickness), it's only $2900, which is slightly more than 50% off! The Xmas edition is only $150.

Sugar and Spikes

A quick update for you on the latest from SLink footwear. Siddean Munro has 2 more great styles, created for 2 different kinds of girls... or maybe the same girl who likes to change up her style frequently.

The Hattie Sandals are a great moderate height heeled shoe with sweet straps that wrap the foot and ankle, an attractive sculpted flower ornament decorates the top of the foot. The Hattie Sandals come with texture change features for shoe color, nails, and toe rings.

For the girl who is serious about her stilettos comes the Spike Heel Stiletto, not only is the heel a significant spike on it's own, but the shoe is equiped with a dangerous set of metal spikes on the toe and the ankle strap. For the more timid, but still utterly sexy, the spikes can be removed with the click of a button on the convenient hud attachment that also allows for multiple other customizations. Look for a unique floating platform sole on this pair.

Visit SLink to see what's new.

The stuff; with Hattie - Rockberry Skin, Exile Hair, Kuso Dress, Encore Pearls, Caroline's Ring. with Spike Heels - Rockberry Skin, Magika Hair, Skin Flicks Dress, Sole Heart Key Necklace (tinted).

Wired Up with SLink

I got these Caged Platforms sent to me this morning, yet another foot-in-shoe release from SLink. The truly unique offering from Siddean Munro looks like a modern art piece, with it's wire cage heel and lattice that extends from the top of the foot to the ankle. The ample platform base and tied leather ankle wrap are color changeable, as are the metals which can be set to your preferred finish. No salon visit is necessary to change the color or your pedicure, and painted details, therewas also not too much difficulty matching my skin tone, though hand entering the RGB gave me an unusual result, I eventually sorted it out with the color palate method and was happy with the look of the skin tone on the prim foot.

For the remainder of my sexy Saturday look I relied on COCO's new coverall zip-suit called 'Combinaison', which comes with black and white tube top options for underneath, but I wore mine over a bikini from SNOC which I picked up at the clothing fair. A few accessories and I was all set to step out in these sexy shoes.

Look for the Caged Platforms at SLink.

The Stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin, TRUTH Hair, COCO Coverall Suit, SNOC Bikini, SLink Footwear, Earrings by Creamshop, Bangles by DeLa.

SLink: Bare feet

Since I read Annessa's fantastic feature on the new toe shoes over at SLink, I just had to run over and grab a pair for myself. While there I also noticed something else, the Bamboo style bare feet! Siddean Munro's creation are a fantastic addition to the upcoming beach wear season (if you live in North America like myself), especially if you don't want to always wear your bathing suit with heels. However, I found a more domesticated use for these cuties in my quest to be barefoot and pregnant. What? SLhousewives need cute toes too! Visit SLink Online and InWorld

Oh My, Those Toes!

I am so glad that Siddean Munro thought to send me her latest release, not only has her talent continued to grow since the last time I reviewed her footwear, but it seems that her shoes themselves have sprouted toes, well whole feet really. I am a fan of prim feet, and it seems that the blogging community is warming up to them, really it was only a matter of time. Change can be scary, and amputation humour aside, I think that prim feet are here to stay and will continue to improve. Siddean's feet are cute, well not her actual feet, the ones in her two shoe styles that I am reviewing here, the Lovely Legs and the Desire. The SLink foot has a different look to the other famous feet in shoes which I am more familiar with, I find them to be attractive but a bit softer and more ample around the heel and toe areas, giving them a more animated look.

What I simply adore about these is the HUD attachments that make skin matching and customizing your shoe and accessories just a few clicks away. It did take me a few minutes to read the quick start note card that arrived with the shoes, but the process after that was easy as pie and I was happy with the result. Bright funky colors and even toenail art make these a really fun shoe to style to match your look perfectly. I will say that because they are a single attachment shoe, without an separate ankle section, I had to be a bit more careful with the poses that I chose to show them off, ankle position for more extreme poses yielded some interesting results, but for general walking and most typical AO poses this would not be a negative factor.

The Lovely Legs style, shown here in green are super sexy and did in fact make for that lovely legged look, especially with the new Lime version of the Elate! Felicity Dress. More newness is the completely irresistible hair from DejaVu called Lady Crocodile. I added some great touches of color with the customizable head band, lemon yellow beads from Ume Mode (color change), Bangle set from Finc! and Patent Lemon purse from Celestial Studios. The Desire shoes got the pink treatment with the same Elate! dress in Blush, and another morsel from DejaVu, the Mademoiselle with customizable trio of bands. Simple and Sparkling accessories from U & R Dogs, a personal fave, completed the look.

Please visit Siddean for her sexy shoes, and her other wonderful items at SLink.

SLink: PVC Boots

So I was going through all my old Halloween costumes and came across my Little Red Riding Ho that was one of my favs from last year. Yeah a little skimpy, but look at the sexalicious boots from SLink that I had to pair them with. Sleek, shiny, and the best part is no resizing on the calf, knee, and thigh. The foot shape does all the magic and forms the upper components. They are wonderful in their simplicity and effect. Visit SLink Inworld!

Footwear Expo Update: SLink

SLink has a nice presence at the footwear expo, and it hasn't really been all that long since we first started seeing great shoes and boots from creator Siddeon Munro. You will be excited to see these 2 latest releases from SLink, the Classic Pumps, and the O Wedge Slides. The Classic Pumps are just that, with the added dazzle of a 'twinkle on/off' adornment on the toe. The O Wedge gets as much attention for what isn't there (part of the wedge) as much as for what is... a fun wood soled slide, great summer shoe!

Visit SLink at Expo, here!

Also wearing; with Classic Pump - Minnu Skin, Detour Hair, AOHARU Dress (with tie). with O Wedge Slide - Minnu Skin, Detour Hair, FTV Top, Crush Factory Shorts, Bracelet from Fresh Baked Goods.
