A Week of Top-Fives: Day Three, Long Boots

My ode to the long boot could last for days. I love them, revere them and have a real problem with restraining myself from buying them whenever I see them, even if I already have a pair that's pretty similar. They're all just so awesome!

I had a hell of a time picking boots out for this post. I wanted to show a lot more, but I limited myself to stiletto-heeled long boots only.

J's is a master when it comes to working the prims, and the texturing is always amazingly well-done. He told me not so long ago that he doesn't like to advertise himself, he only likes to make shoes. So besides his own update group, his only real form of advertisement is his amazing workmanship and killer options, like colour-change menus on the fatpacks, so you only have to have one pair in your inventory, not 12.

When the new incarnation of the Bax Prestige boots came out, I was in heaven, and they were my introductory post on this very blog. The best thing about these boots, besides the gorgeous texturing and amazing sculpty work, is the awesome features. When you buy them, they come boxed. You can unbox them in the store, and then either fit them yourself (because they are designed to fit very tightly to your leg) or have one of the very friendly store staff help you with the cool remote script system. Once you have one pair fitted perfectly to your shape, you can unbox any others you may have purchased and the store will automatically recognize you and ask if you'd like to use the last settings! Once you say yes, your boots will automatically fit to you like a glove. That, and the tonal colour change menu makes every Linden spent well worth it.

SLink's Sydney boots are beautiful works of architectural wonderment. I tried to imagine how I could ever wear these in real life, and I decided I can't. I'd love to, but I'd fall flat on my face. Luckily, my avatar doesn't have the same problem and she can happily prance around in these all day, and dance around all night.

YourSkin & YourShape is a store that's fairly new to me, never having heard of them before hosting them at the shoe fair this year. I can't imagine how I ever lived without them though, because their stock is absolutely amazing. The Big Sur boots come in lots of colours, and they'll go with anything from your favourite pair of jeans (hello Decoy, my ass loves you!) to a cute little dress.

Tesla is a big name in footwear, and there's little reason to wonder why. The Angelina boots were one of those purchases that I absolutely had to make, even though I have other boots that are similar (except for the fun laces detail at the back). Of course they're resizable and you can find a colour and look to suit whatever you're wearing.

Stick with me for heels tomorrow!

StyleCard: TESLA Vixen Desire

Six inches is something to celebrate, especially when they belong to the new Vixen Desire stilettos from Tesla. Creating a shoe with this kinda height requires some special attention, and Tesla found a way to go higher than the typical SL foot allows, by adding a fancy schmancy script to the shoes. As long as you put your shoes on in an area that allows scripts to run, the raised foot effect will remain engaged no matter where you go. These shoes are available in eleven deliciously shiny patent colors, or fatpack these babies to maximize that sexy, sexy height! Tesla also threw in a great crossed leg sit pose so you can show off those fantastic legs.

Grab hold of your desire, and visit Tesla for these sexy shoes.

The Stuff; Belleza Jesse Skin, Maitreya Hair, Fishy Strawberry Sweater Dress, Battered Boudoir Hosiery, U&R Dogs Necklace, Love Soul Prim Nails.

Oh Angelina, Have You Seen Her?

If you have not yet seen the Angelina Boots from Tesla, you are in for a treat. These are the sexy calf hugging zippered boots that I long for in my first life, in an array of gorgeous colors and even a couple in sweet heart print, with yummy names like Blueberry Muffin and Cookies & Cream. Tesla does not disappoint with her texturing and detail, a beautifully shaped boot that is a single attachment, worn with an invisiprim foot attachment, for a smooth no break ankle, just perfect! My favorite pair by far are called Seductress - with perfectly red soles for a sexy kick. The Seductress version is only available if you go all out and buy the fatpack.

Kickass Boots

I swear, Tesla Miles is a genius, there is no better way to describe someone who has conquered more styles than Madonna. Seriously though, every time she releases a shoe it is a surprise to me, always pushing her skills to another level of shape, style and texturing. Today's happy release of the Harvey Biker Boots certainly made me smile, especially when she remarked that they might not be my style... hunny, everything you make is my style. The boots, which are available for Men too btw, are the best grunged up short biker boots I have seen in a long time. Scuffed and salt stained, the boots have great details like the prim zipper pulls. These again seem to be on the latest trend, a one piece boot that attaches to the lower leg, with an invisible prim foot attachment that effectively amputates your foot.

Truly great boots from Tesla, grab some here.

Other stuff; Redgrave Skin, TRUTH Hat/Hair, Abyss Top and Shorts, COCO Jacket, Redgrave Gloves, Dutch Touch Socks/Fishnets, AITUI Tattoo.

Dear Tesla, I Love You.

May I just say, I love the heck out of these boots! The latest release from the talented hands of Tesla Miles made me giddy from moment one when I got them on my feet. I was fortunate to be able to walk around in a beta pair for the past few days, and when Tes delivered the full color range to me this morning I was in heaven. I think what really sets these apart, aside from the obvious high quality and attention to detail Tesla is famous for, is the lovely height and the way the top of the boot leg curves down in the back to hug the calf and not interfere with bending knees. The Kensington Boots also have some fancy bits of hardware to give them even more classic styling.

10 Fantastic shades; Black, Bluesteel, Bronze, Chocolate, Emerald, Purple, Scarlet, Teal, Violet & White. (click images to enlarge for detail)

For some reason the rest of my outfit today consists largely of Armidi goodness, the cuffed white shirt and bleached jeans... these are my current favorites. I still love my Muism denim but the butt on the Armidi Grace jeans is something special. The denim vest from Elephant Outfitters, the color change bangles from M.R.M. and the great belt from COCO (buckle re-done in Silver by moi) were easy additions that added more interest to the look. Hair is newness from Mirai, skin is Redgrave.

Get yourself some TESLA love real soon!

3-Ways and the 'F Word'

Now that I have your attention, we can talk about what is really going on here. Firstly, Miss Tesla Miles has surfaced, and she has brought shoes with her. TESLA will soon be releasing the High Oxfords, and for a girl who has been wearing so many boots lately, I am pleased to review some shoes again. The Oxfords are a great looking shoe too, with a moderate platform, chunky heel and lace-up upper. These multi-tonal shoes are almost chameleon-like in their ability to work with a variety of items in your wardrobe. And they also lend themselves to multiple styles of dressing. I am illustrating 3 unique looks; Classic, Casual & Club Wear... 3 ways, get it? (click images to see larger size.)

With 12 amazing pairs on the menu; Gold, Bronze, Berry, Black, Blue, Chocolate, Jade, Olive, Purple, Scarlet, Snow and Teal, you might just be better off using the F word... Fatpack. I don't throw that word around lightly, but if this is a style of shoe that appeals to you I do not see how you can go wrong. Lovers of slightly metallic colors and hand tooled leather details should be in heaven by the weekend... Tesla's scheduled release for these cuties.

Please visit TESLA and look for the High Oxfords.

StyleCard: TESLA

Yay! The Hyldas have arrived, and that sneaky Tesla Miles not only made good on her promise to give us some color in this great ankle boot, she's also give us 2 irresistable snake textures. TESLA offers nine variations in all, and really some of the most detailed ankle boots I've seen in a long time. Ankle boots are always a nice alternative for fall, they are great worn with skinny jeans, long tunics and even sweater dresses when you add some opaque tights. I decided to take Hylda out dancing so I added a silver beaded bustier (part of a Digit Darkes Socialite dress).

I love these chunky accessories from ICoN, and the funky short hair from MMS is a nice change from my usual length. My skinny black pants are courtesy of Cachet. Just a fun casual look with a bit of sparkle for a night of dancing in my new Hylda boots.

Look for Hylda at TESLA.

The stuff; Redgrave Skin, MMS Hair, Digit Darkes Top (part of dress), Cachet Pants, Accessories by ICoN.

The Tease, The Tesla.

Only been forever since I got an exclusive from a favorite shoe designer to share with the 'On Your Toes' readers. Tesla came through for me in a big way by hand delivering me a preview copy of the the new Hylda Boots. As with most teasers, I will let the pictures do the talking, but I could not go without saying that I love these ankle boots. They can go high style or completely casual, the metal details are really great, and I am sure Tesla plans on delivering a few more color options in these, so there will be even more to get excited about by the middle of this week... the expected release date. Another bit of amazing trivia on these is that these are the first pair of shoes from Tesla that are based on a pair she actually owns, but the textures are all hand done, without photosourcing, and the light is baked in using a 3-D application.

Watch the blog for updates on the release, or shop at Tesla today.

Wearing; Redgrave Skin, MMS Hair, ICoN Accessories, Cachet Pants & Tesla Hylda Boots.

Shoe fair and new boots from Tesla

OK so I'll start this post with my tale of attending the opening day of the shoefair. I had to go scope out whether there was any new releases for us guys but I had to go in my 'Loafer man' attire which was from Nicky Ree and I just wore my Jeepers Creepers Toltec loafers to complete the outfit since the boots didn't really reflect the true 'Loafer man' character. Anyway it was quite fun as I ran into or saw every blogger and their dog there and other such luminaries as Sparkle and Dominus Skye, Mui Mukerji, Ana Luetia, Tempest Hennessy and a few other people sorry if I forget who.
Anyway onto the important part of this blog, the new release boots from Tesla! These boots aren't featured at the fair but my friend Tesla Miles dropped these to me and I tried them on right away. The 4pack features blue, black, brown and red versions of these sculpted boots.
So after playing around and realising that they didn't really suit the jeans I had on I decided to go with these shorts instead as they allowed the boots to be shown in their full glory.
Apart from a couple of AO poses distorting the part where the leg joins the boot I must say that these are a great addition to any guys collection as the rugged styling and flexi laces gives a 'Don't mess with me' appearance which will probably appeal to some of the SL tough guys out there (you know who you are).
So in this blog I have shown every colour except red as I forgot to convert the pic to jpg, but the black, brown and blue ones I have shown show the quality of these.
Once again I thank Tesla for making some mens shoes worth owning as we all know us guys get neglected some of the time on SL. So if you are looking for some nicely detailed boots I recommend checking these out.
