The Shiniest Things

Fallingwater Cellardoor, one of the first masters of the sculpted prim, is back in SL and creating new shoes for her brand Shiny Things!  This is one of my all-time favourite brands in SL and I am hopeful that these new flats are a sign of more great things to come.

Her time away from SL has not diminished her skill in the least; the new Zimmy flats are as sublimely made and textured as ever, maybe even more so.  The bow is optional, with a simple click on the shoe to remove or add it.

With the contrasting toe, there are some gorgeous colour combinations, including my personal favourites, the white with black toes, a perfect update to the classic Oxford styling.

She's also kept up with the new viewer options, and if you're on 2.0, you can wear the included alpha layer and skip the invisiprim, and of course there are still two sizes included, for size 0 and size 10 feet.

For one pair, it's a reasonable L$300, and for the fatpack of all 11 colours, it's a 25% savings at L$2475.

Make sure to stop by the store for a demo, and to sign up for the all-new Subscriber kiosk, and you can even get a special colour as a gift after you do!

Ingenue is on a roll!

Betty Doyle, even with a ten month old baby, is kicking some serious ass lately, sending out new releases like a house on fire.  Hopefully, no one's house is actually on fire, but if it, save these shoes and screw everything else!

Ingenue's latest release is Dianthus, another pair of flats with a pointed toe and a darling little ruffle.  If you have to choose just one word, it's spectacular.

They're available in fifteen different colours at L$225 each, or the fatpack is L$2100.  So worth it.

Also worn is Ingenue's Leslie pants in Cherry, Artilleri's Carlita top in Black, Truth's Amanda hair in Cocoa, Dutch Touch's Sjors iLinerWine in Caramel, and Glow's DeLyn B&W Earrings.  Poses are by LAP.

A Week of Top-Fives: Day Five, Flats

Flats are the perfect balance in dressing up that casual look, or dressing down an outfit that may be a bit too glam for what you need. It should be noted that I deliberately didn't choose plain flats: so Fri.day's Basic Flats, Armidi's Sasche flats and Shiny Things Saturday flats were all left off the list, but I do love them all and wear them a lot.

Cherry is a new-to-me store by Pink Outfitters, and I adore these little flats with the bow. Now, I have no idea who Alice Cullen is, but these flats were named after her. I googled and saw "Twilight" so I clicked off. Twilight makes my head hurt just to think about it.

ETD is basically dead, which makes me sadcakes. But these Buckle flats, which come in tons of colours, are perfect casual flats and I still wear them all the time.

Shiny Things, another store where the owner seems sadly MIA, made these awesome ballet flats a couple of years ago when sculpties first came out to replace a previous pre-sculpty pair. There's still not a pair of simple ballet flats anywhere else that I like better.

Pixel Mode's Freya flats are another pair of buckled flats, and they're really gorgeous. The textures are fantastic, and the buckle is so well done. I got these at the shoe fair, when I bought a pair of pumpkin-coloured flats. It turns out the brown was a freebie included with every colour you bought there!

My favourite pair of all time is these Periquita Funny Girl flats. The new and improved version is colour-changeble in way more colours than the original fatpack came in (yay!) and they're just perfect with jeans or even a nice business suit.

Stay tuned for Boots tomorrow (hopefully)!

LeLutka Steps It Up

Happily ready to follow up my previous teaser post with a closer look at the new footwear from LeLutka. Amazingly enough, this premier shoe release consists of two distinct style options which are credited to two very talented women. Both Thora Charron and Minnu Palen have contributed footwear to the new Spring line, a collection of shoes that perfectly compliments the rest of the LeLutka collection, but also stands alone in style and texture as a great footwear option for lovers of flats and platform pumps alike.

Thora Charron is responsible for the Korina flats, a sweet little flat that is available in 3 distinct textures; Fabric with attractive sculpted bows, Checked with a very nice subtle pattern & Leather which adds a touch of sparkle with a row of large rhinestones across the toe. The only down side is trying to decide which color and which style you like the best, if you are a lover of flats then you might want them all.

Minnu Palen continues to challenge her skills as a designer, it seems that LeLutka (formerly MMS), has given her the opportunity to explore beyond men's and women's skins, and branch out into hair, clothing, and now shoes. Her Shanon pumps have a stylish platform style base, tall stiletto heel and come in some really sophisticated shades. The pumps have a reptile skin texture and come in soft pastels and vivid brights, and a very special diamond variation that has rhinestone details on the back of the heel. I am a big fan of the added touch of color around the shoe opening, really nice detail.

A visit to the newly re-opened LeLutka would not be complete without a closer look at the shoes.

The Stuff; With Korina - LeLutka Korina flats in Checkered Green, LeLutka Satin Pants in Ice, LeLutka Grace Earrings (group gift), Maitreya Cami in Teal (from Mirli Sweater), Lalique Bag by Ingrid Ingersoll, Redgrave Leona Skin & Maitreya Mayte hair in Coffee. With Shanon - LeLutka Shanon Pumps in Beige, LeLutka Mischa Jeans with Cuffs (group gift), LeLutka 100% Plastic Bag (group gift), Armidi Sheer Ribbed Tank in Beige, Redgrave Leona Skin and Analogue Dog 'Go' Hair in Black.

A Lil' Kookie!

In an attempt to soothe the readers of 'On Your Toes', who I have badly neglected of late, I present to you a little teaser post courtesy of Kookie Lemon. It has been a long time since I had a chance to see what Kookie has been up to, but I am so glad she sent these my way, and if I am not mistaken they should be hitting the shelves very soon... so yay! for that. The Ella Petite Flats as she calls them are certainly petite, but they are also rather sweetly shaped, with a delightful almost metallic sheen and adornments on the toes that resemble ribbon and silver cameos. The are scripted for size adjustment if you should so wish.

The Ella Petite Flats come in 9 tasty bright shades, my pick for the day was the blue. I also happened upon the spanking new Festivale Sim and with all it's colourful nooks and crannies I was inspired to show off that colorful side and really have some fun. I started with the star spangled leggings from Sweetest Goodbye, added the cardigan from en Svale. Some more color offered with and a belt from Cupcakes and PacMan Lunchbox from Luminaire (not sure if these are still out there or not). The hair is my latest obsession from Mirai, called Gran with a texture change headband. The colorful wood bangles are from M.R.M. Factory, they are color change and I love their versatility.

To get in on the fun check out the Festivale Sim, and keep your eyes on the shelves over at Kookie for these great lil' flats to arrive!

Sasche Flats

Every new release from Armidi creates a stampede over to the store. Shoppers show up in droves and fight the lag with enthusiasm (ok maybe not really enthusiasm, but they tough it out none the less). So I, like so many others...ran over and had to get my hands on the new goodies. These Sasche flats are adorable, and great quality. Available in many colors, I picked up the pearl. These are another shoe that would be great dressed up and dressed down (as shown here). If you haven't picked them up, run on over. I bet the lag isn't as bad now (I'm an optimist). There are demos available. Visit Armidi InWorld!

Other Stuff: Skin by Abyss, Hair by ETD, Top by Vette's Boutique, and shorts by Armidi.
