StyleCard: Surf Couture Elsa Boots

As if there weren't enough reasons to love winter, Emma Gilmour of Surf Couture has given us another. StyleCard: Kalnins Empress

The recently released Empress shoes from Kalnins are impressive. On the heels (pun intended) of the Coquette shoes, Maris Kanto has released the Empress, improving them in so many ways it is hard to believe that these are really only his second women's shoe released. Gone is the need to wear a size 11 foot as the basis for the shoes, but also the prim feet have arrived allowing for more versatility and sex appeal. The HUD that Maris created might just be the easiest one I have encountered to date, and there is a very simple system that allows you to individually re-color parts of the shoes; buckles, straps, sole, body, accent, and nail polish can all be selected from a palate to match anything you can imagine!

The Stuff;

Shoes - Kalnins Footwear - Empress

Skin - Gala Phoenix, JUNE Sundust (Frex)

Hair - Posh, Lolli Sexy Buns -Umber

Top - :bijou: *GG* Doll corsetcami [Yellow] - former freebie

Skirt - Sweetest Goodbye Day Dream - Black (pants & skirt from Dress Set)

Accessories - Fresh Baked Goods

A New Coquette

Kalnins is known for making top class specs and more recently stylish men's footwear, it was brought to my attention yesterday that they have just release their first women's shoe, so I made the trip and was pleasantly surprised by the Coquette Sandals. One of the greatest things you can offer your customer is customization, the scripted footwear (while not loved by everyone) allows you to match your outfit with seemingly limitless color options, the base, straps and buckles are all controlled by control menu, and the unique ability to make these shiny or flat... can extend the options a bit further.

Maris Kanto has created some beautiful looking footwear here. I adore the almost touchable leather and the way it appears to gather at the connection points. My only foible here, and my own fault for not reading the info, was that these are recommended for size 11 feet, if your shape is no mod you may be out of luck, but a quick edit appearance to resize the foot will allow you to enjoy a much better fit. Also notable is the price point, at 500L$ these are a great value, and Maris tells me that Kalnins Gold Card Members get them for only 250L$. I look forward to seeing more from Kalnins Women's Line soon!

Stop over to Kalnins and try a demo before you buy!

The Stuff; Rockberry Uma Skin, TRUTH Aradia Hair (No Flower), Savvy? Rouched Bustier, Artilleri Capri Pants, Linc Sinken Dress, Armidi Bangles, Ume Mode Feather Necklace.

More Feet, Pretty Shoes.

Digit Darkes is the latest to release a foot-in-shoe creation with her Spring 2009 release of the Lotus Heels. In true Digit Darkes style the attractive platform sandals have great detail and gorgeous accent gems. Both the Base and Leather upper parts have multiple colour/fabrication options, toenails and gem stones are customizable too, making for a very versatile shoe, which is always a nice value for your Lindens. Where I do offer some criticism here is with the foot itself.

For this shoe Digit created an invisi-prim foot attachment that basically makes your avatar feet vanish, and then attached the shoe to the lower leg, an interesting method that I found to work well in hiding the foot and ankle join. The shoe drop down menu offers multiple selections for skin tone, and even included a note card recommending what tone might suit some top selling skins, as was the case with my tan skin from Redgrave. The color itself did match my skin pretty well, but it seems to me that in an attempt to up the realism on the shoe a large amount of shadow was added to the foot, making for an odd break when looked at from certain angles, as I mentioned earlier the design of the shoe itself is really spectacular and perhaps it was a windlight setting issue that gave me the deep shadowed effect. These are very pretty shoes.

You can get a hold of these sparkling stilettos at Digit Darkes Main Store.

The Stuff; Redgrave Leona Skin (Tan - Cyan), ETD Gwen Hair (Espresso), Top Part of Retro Tube Dress (Black) from So Many Styles, Artilleri Pencil Skirt (Teal), M * A * ii * K * I High Waisted Belt (Patent Black), LeLutka Clutch Purse, UnTone Drops Earrings, UZURI Bracelet.

A Lil' Kookie!

In an attempt to soothe the readers of 'On Your Toes', who I have badly neglected of late, I present to you a little teaser post courtesy of Kookie Lemon. It has been a long time since I had a chance to see what Kookie has been up to, but I am so glad she sent these my way, and if I am not mistaken they should be hitting the shelves very soon... so yay! for that. The Ella Petite Flats as she calls them are certainly petite, but they are also rather sweetly shaped, with a delightful almost metallic sheen and adornments on the toes that resemble ribbon and silver cameos. The are scripted for size adjustment if you should so wish.

The Ella Petite Flats come in 9 tasty bright shades, my pick for the day was the blue. I also happened upon the spanking new Festivale Sim and with all it's colourful nooks and crannies I was inspired to show off that colorful side and really have some fun. I started with the star spangled leggings from Sweetest Goodbye, added the cardigan from en Svale. Some more color offered with and a belt from Cupcakes and PacMan Lunchbox from Luminaire (not sure if these are still out there or not). The hair is my latest obsession from Mirai, called Gran with a texture change headband. The colorful wood bangles are from M.R.M. Factory, they are color change and I love their versatility.

To get in on the fun check out the Festivale Sim, and keep your eyes on the shelves over at Kookie for these great lil' flats to arrive!

StyleCard: Callie Cline Kick Shickers

Gotta love that Callie Cline, she is possibly the bubbliest fashionista going, and certainly one of the most generous. She continues to create her own style of fun wearables with a ferocious color palate and dash of fun in everything she does. When she excitedly showed me her new boots while they were still a work in progress I was thrilled with her ideas, and before I even had a chance to do a post on them, I see she has already been working to expand the boot release to include some skins and patterns, so please be sure and visit her headquarters to have a look at the latest. The version I am wearing are the original Kick Shickers in Black Suede (these with Gold trim), are a generous cowboy boot with coloured accents and a ring of gemstones around the ankle. Each one is touch scripted to change the colour of the stones for endless combinations.

I kicked up the rest of the outfit with a real mash-up of casuals in a similar color palate. The jeans are the 'Sexy Ass' Jeans from Drawmachine, the tank top and jacket are from the Bijou 'Born Free' set, Bijou is one of my all time favorites for mix and match. The Fuka hat/hair from Mirai is one that I love more each time I wear it, and the bunches of bangles are courtesy of M.R.M. and the opening freebie from Giusia.

Visit Miss Callie for these fun and fabulous boots.

Mistress, May I?

Oh yes, you may! I did my usual spot check at DETOUR this morning and was greeted by the sexy new Mistress Boots. I know what you are thinking, 'Anessa, it's summer already... save the boots for fall!', but really... these are worth the extra sweat. I am not as much of a boot fan as Graci is, but when I see boots this nice I just can't resist, so I snapped up the full color set.

As you can see the boots come in 6 colors, the pink is only available if you buy the full color change pair. But hey all you pink lovers, these are a great boot so don't be discouraged. Stop in and try the demo in-store, you will find it comes equipped with two different sizes, a small and a medium, so one should suit your calves. Be sure and click on the picture above for a nice close-up look at the amazing detail in the textures. A monochromatic boot on a black base, a great wardrobe staple.

Take a closer look for yourself at DETOUR.

I am also wearing; PXL Skin, Armidi Clothing, Laqroki Hair, and a Twinkleberry Bracelet.
