The Mother of All Wedges

Most of Second Life is knee deep in star spangled bikinis and butt crack baring denim, but I felt the distinct need to class up the joint with something girly and frothy and elegant, just for a little while. Shoe Fair 2011 may seem like a distant memory, but there are still treasures left over from the big event, now safely displayed in their main stores. One of these finds is the extensive line of Maxine footwear from Baiastice.
Sissy Pessoa gave us platforms, sandals and super high heels, and my personal favorites, the Maxine Wedges, all with a nice looking prim foot and user hud. The unique looking Mother of Pearl ones are my definite favorites, with an unexpected texture that combines the understated glitz of silver and pearl like lustre. It was easy to complete my look with a pretty black dress, also from Baiastice, some of the incredible accessories from MOOD by Jori Watler, and one of the fantastic new hairs from exile.

Now it's back to our regularly scheduled programming of tan summer skin and skimpy bikinis, just be sure to enjoy being a girl once in a while.

The stuff;

Shoes: Baiastice, Maxine Wedge, Mother-of-Pearl

Hair: Exile, Nomi Roots-Wedge

Dress: Baiastice, Ephidryades Dress -black

Button Down in Baiastice

I love detail, the smaller the better... like the dozens of cute buttons adorning the wedge heels of the Camilla Shoes from Baiastice. Like candy, only better, the buttons are a rainbow of colors, textures and styles, and they really make this otherwise simple shoe a standout. I also checked out the cute faced Mynerva skins and D!va hair that has been getting some attention this past weekend, very cute, not something I could make a permanent swap for, but sweet is great once in a while.

They come in a variety of base shades, I decided to wear the acid green because it matched perfectly with the Mimi Top from Bare Rose. If you have yet to discover some of the treasure to be found there, it is worth the trip, I am a big fan of pulling apart the outfits - sometimes modifying the prims - and making them into something you just won't find anywhere else.

Visit Baiastice to see more colors of the Camilla Shoes, and shop!

More Play.

Another new release from Stiletto Moody, this one is an elegant open-toed stiletto with soaring height and a belted ankle strap that gives these shoes a bit of edge. Much like the other releases in the BARE line, the Anita Shoes have that menu of options for color matching of skin, nail polish shades, metal options, etc. I am wearing the newly released Payton Dress from Baiastice, this rich purple shade and super short mini work perfectly with the shoes, I also added plenty of chunky silver accessories to complete the look.

Visit Stiletto Moody & Baiastice for these.

StyleCard: Digit Darkes Dolce Heel

Digit Darkes released another pair of foot-in-shoe pretties this week. The Dolce Heels come equipped with more changeable features than I have seen before on a shoe. A very decorative and gem accented shoe that makes matching with the bright wonderful Summer fashions a breeze. You have options for sole, leather upper, flower texture and shade, gem color, nail shades and a completely tintable base palate that makes these really special.

As with her previously reviewed Desire and Lotus Heels these shoes are certainly well made, my bone to pick remains the unbecoming dark shading one the sides of the ankle and foot that make skin matching a daunting pursuit - I was able to match the front of the foot and toes quite easily, but the side shadows remain fairly obvious.

Baiastice is a favorite for beautiful dresses, and the newly released Cotton Stripes Dress is gorgeous with it's burst of summery color. I am also a big fan of the Donnarama Gloss Skins and the beautiful creamy textures and stunning make-ups, worn here. Shopping details below.

The Stuff;

Shoes - Digit Darkes Dolce Heels Custom

Skin - Baiastice Donnarama GLOSS Sunkiss

Hair - Armidi Super Pony

Dress - Baiastice Cotton Stripes Dress - Orange

Earrings - Heureux papillon DEKO Pierce - Gold

Bracelet - Yummy Found Hearts Bracelet - Tinted
Necklace - Ume Mode Crown Pendant (Color Change)

Beautiful Baiastice!

Is it any wonder that I have fallen in love with the latest collection from Baiastice? I appears to have seamlessly and spectacularly combined the best of Black and White with hip punches of delicious bright color. And did I mention the shoes? Sissy Pesoa's latest collection demonstrates the skill of this talented designer, the collection takes us on a trip through a variety of styles all complemented with accessories such as handbags, sunglasses and footwear. The detail and unique styling of Sissy's footwear takes them far beyond the basic pump sculpts she begins with. Oversized Crystals, Leather Straps, Grommets and Satin, paired with the collection's sculpted corset pieces and giant bows, combine to present a complete fashionista wardrobe to the many fans of Baiastice, of which I am definitely one!

StyleCard: DETOUR & The City

A couple great releases from DETOUR, but rather than hit you with a one-two punch I thought it might be best to present them separately because they are vastly different shoes. First up, because I am a girl who loves her heels... the Diamond T-Strap Pumps. And I promise that these are real diamonds, I had them checked! Seriously though, I just love a nice T-Strap shoe and there are not that many out there. As always DETOUR offers us a colour selection and a touch scripted 'all color' pair that gives a bonus color. A great deal if you are a fan of the shoe.

To sparkle alongside the diamonds I scooped up Mimikri's latest release Star/Sequin Top & Dress in gold and then went with a great hanging strap clutch from Baiastice, a favorite Birthday gift from my friend Fann, that features a tiny black shoe on the closure - a shoe love must have! Hair is Jolie Femme, I just love the soft texture, reminds me of SJ Parker in Sex & the City. A bit of glamour, anyone want a cosmopolitan?

Visit DETOUR and take a look.

The Stuff; Redgrave Skin, Jolie Femme Hair, Mimikri Dress, Baiastice Purse & DETOUR Shoes.
