True Fashion Moments!!!

You've go a true fashion moment happening when Amanda Lepore the worlds most famous trans gendered male to female opens a show while Andre J fashions current it queen closes. This my friends was the Marco Hall Fall 2008 Show that took place in Hells kitchen. It had a disco-afro-chic feeling with a touch of old school Mara Hoffman happening with the clothing. Take a look.

This next part is unforgettable with Andre J's spectacle ending.

Korean Sims - Amorepacific

When I read at the bottom of Creamy's post that there was a Korean sim I was so hooked. I've got a thing for Asian sims, but I have to say I really wasn't that excited. I thought I'd tp over look at some funny hairs and that would be that. Boy was I wrong! These sims had beautiful sceneries along with a lot of great freebies (clothes (f), jewelry (f), masks, fans (f), hairs (m/f), skins (f) and furniture). The free items were either $0 or had a low camp (5-10 min/item) time to obtain. There were also lots of camping spots. So I'm sure this will become a popular sim. Anywho...... Here's my postcards from Amorepacific:



There was a tremendous amount of lag when I went to these sims, so if I were you I'd take the hud offered at landing and use it to tp to all the spots. The hud made moving around a lot easier. Also I was stopped by several people in the spa and asked how I was able to camp (receive the massage) to obtain the skins (not for the $L - because you can give massages for the $L) in the spa. And this is how I did it: Underneath the spa there are tea fields- you must walk to the back of the tea fields to harvest (60 sec), once harvested wear the tea leaves, use the board by the tea fields to teleport back up to the spa, once in the spa while wearing the tea leaves touch the blender in the counseling area, the tea leaves will blend and you will receive a gift voucher, wear the gift voucher, go to a massage room and sit on the pose ball that will allow you to receive the massage, after 10 minutes you will recieve the skin that is pictured in that room. You can do this up to 3 times to receive all 3 skins available.


(robe from Bare Rose's women's spa on the Black Cat sim & towel in hair was from the bathrobe available at the Nagaya spa. The hair is from Hair by Cher (?) sl is acting funny so I can't see the creator atm, but if anyone knows the creator/store chime in- It's a former freebie, so only available in the store now.)

Mandate of Heaven does the Catwalk

I've always admired the way Carissa Ackerman went about her business called Mandate of Heaven. Mandate is as indie as it gets as far as fashion goes. One of a kind everythings , part vintage and remade with quality. I've always loved and felt a connection more so with designers like her in my past as these designers don't exactly set out with any major business motive, it kinda starts out with a "what the hell I just want to do this"idea. The way usually the best stuff does. Carissa has ultimately made her own client which may have never existed in the first place if her craft hadn't. She doesn't exploit her clients by using them as models but has created a cult like adoration for them instead. The Mandate Girls as she's labeled them are young hot real girls and accidentally using them as models also serves as a very responsible message to society as far as what beauty is when it comes to fashion. You don't have to be a 16 year old girl 5ft11 and 100lbs to be gorgeous. Thats beautiful but so it being 22 or 24 or 30 etc., and having thighs a chest and an ass to boot. And her girls love it as they get to wear cool cloths and rock the runway.

I was talking to Mylan Bui a young PR phenomena in the making. Mylan runs Bui-Lavry PR and takes on clients that are responsible to the environment and economy. She does not limit her services to only fashion design. But she will take on a fashion client. She loves what she does and is also doing something productive for mankind in a moral sense. If that is not success what is? Mandate of Heaven is exactly responsible in that way. There is much recycling going on with her line and absolutely no over seas production. You know the garment you're wearing hasn't taken advantage of anyone in the labor aspect. You also know you are wearing something exclusive.

Its nice to know that nice girls don't finish last, they help each other, they grow together and finish on top of the world they've saved from a sense of cruelty...

Romantic Hearts Treasure Hunt

There's a cool Valentine's Hunt going on. It started yesterday and runs until February 11th 10 p.m. So you've only got a few days to do this one.
