Szabina+Stan This Italian designer is clearly experimental couture like fashion with a twist of avant guard. I love it when people just do things to do it. Make a statement. Create for the sake of love,like when a woman gives birth to a child. Perhaps this is why I wish I could visit Europe more often,meeting and greeting the fashion world of lust. This is very unusual Szabina and Stan. Don't ever stop.

Textiles Superb

It would be nice to see more extravagant textile work done on young indie designer garments. But its very timely and expensive. So partner up people,and create remarkable beauty. Team work has paid off well in the industry such as the girls of Vena Cava,Klee the addition to Mara Hoffman's jersey dresses textile print designer. Igwa Malero has some serious $$$ sales happening for them. Ohne Titel has made raging headline amongst some very important press,and of course the ultimate Proenza Schouler. Team work is strong unless you're a leader and can afford, or have the determination to make a small line kick butt!!! I've included some intricate textile work by Mhari McMullan. Its absolutely a stunning work of fine fabric design....

KA Designs has a table of freebies out. All but, one of the boxes is $0. These are the contents of the boxes marked $0:

There's also a purse not photographed that is included in one of the boxes. The hoodie worn is unisex as are the earmuffs and scarf. And the boots are in a box also. So there's a good variety and at least two things for guys and maybe more if you can deal with a little bit of pink in the scarf set.

The Day After THE DAY

Oh yes, I always survive the 1st of the year. This year in spite of appearances I'm dressed to the nines. Just don't look too close at my face!

So, I rolled out of bed (thanks to my rl neighbors) at 3 a.m. and chose a couple of looks to share with you on my birthday since sl is shutting me out for anyone's guess how long.

Knit machine fashion is not taught in American fashion schools enough. Its a very important technical skill that is not passed on in design schools. I really had to seek it out on my own. Even sadder I have an excellent knitting machine. My studio isn't big enough to work on it. Someday I dream there will be a bigger studio for me to play in.
